Oh happy me, I just had my first swim of the season. I feel so refreshed and energized that had to share the news with the world. First swim in the middle of July? Hard to imagine in Southern California! We have a pool in our backyard, and I usually swim by early May, but it was too cold and foggy for our solar heated pool to warm up to the temps I swim by (global warming?), and then I had to wait for the silly wound on my knee to close (it took over three weeks).
Thank you to one of my readers, Mahalia (of Dandelion Naturopathic Clinic, in Toronto), who recommended various natural scar-healing options when I had the stitches out earlier this month. I used Calendula ointment, which I bought at my local health food store. It says on the box “Helps promote healing of minor burns, scrapes and cuts”.
