Museum Musing: L.A. Marathon

It was an unusually quiet Sunday at the museum. After my lunch I asked a co-worker,“Where’s everyone? Why’s it so empty?”

That’s how I found out it was the L.A. Marathon today. Many roads along the route were closed for the race making it difficult to drive across town. Over 26,000 ran the new 26.2 mile route, which started at Dodgers Stadium and ended at the ocean in Santa Monica.

[The winners were both Kenyan: Wesley Korir, and Edna Kiplagat.]
